Microsoft Are Failing To Kinect To Their Audience With Xbox One

That's what I was going to say.

I think he is right at Gamescom, we will see a $400 XBone SKU. They have to release a new SKU. Problem with that I don't think a lot of people will be picking up the Kinect as a standalone attachment. If the controller alone was $100M, I know the Kinect sensor was at least double that. Once they do I see their pre-orders going crazy. Meaning they will increase with the new SKU and the old SKU will be seeing a lot of returns/cancellations.

I don't really know what to say about M$. While most people didn't like the XBone during E3 at least M$ had a vision, they were going to take risks and try to innovate. Now it's pretty much an improved XB360 with a $100M controller.

Smh people will still buy it even with Kinect if they dont than I dont understand why they still pay close to the same amount for the new Iphone/pad.

One can only assume that the reversal on mandatory Kinect is due to preorders still being below internal expectations; that's certainly why they dropped DRM.
