PES 14: "We could lose every fan we've ever had" | Gamereactor UK

GR-UK writes: "When asked about retaining that all important PES feeling, Jonathan Murphy explained just how big a risk the studio is taking with this year's version: "Now is the time that we could lose that [the PES feeling]. Now is the time that we could lose every fan we've ever had," he said, before later adding: "They're trying new things that hopefully will push that PES feeling much further, and create moments that you can only get from PES."" (3DS, E3, PC, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360)

Still think they missed a market by not putting PES2014 on the WiiU as there is not Fifa this year on the WiiU.

Well there's no FIFA because EA tried that "market" at found that it gave dismal returns. I don't think they'll be missing out by skipping PES on the Wii U.

I know what you are saying but as I put in a post earlier today that none will of got a WiiU for Fifa or any game that had been out before the WiiU came out. The console has been out for more or less a year when the football games come out an people who like football would have a look at fifa or pes on the WiiU if there was a version as they would be ready to upgrade form last years version on the 360 and PS3.

To show my point watch how many copys fifa 14 sells on the PS4 and Xbox one as people will not be upgrading to the PS4 or Xbox one for Fifa.

Yea, they are trying to create a more realistic football/soccer experience though.

Instead of just updating graphics on a new console, they are working on making the gameplay more realistic, which in the long run could greatly benefit this franchise.

I agree but I don't understand why they could not of ported it to the Wiiu because like I said at the moment there are over 3 million customers there and if the Wiiu sales start to get better between now and the end of the year and pes is the only football game on the Wiiu people may look at using that as there next gen football game over fifa as the pes fan base has got smaller and smaller this gen.
