GameSpy writes: "Orlando Florida wasn't just playing host to "Nature Boy" Ric Flair's Hall of Fame induction and farewell match, we also got to witness the unveiling of Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. THQ and Yuke's were on hand to discuss the game with us and field our questions. Here we have a two-part interview, starting with Yuke's Taku Chihaya, Senior Creative Director and Senior Technical Director Shintaro Matsubara, followed by our chat with THQ's Senior Creative Manager, Cory Ledesma. Lace up your boots, touch up your tan, and get ready for more wrestling game talk than you could fit into a steel cage.
GameSpy: What is the most exciting change coming to Smackdown vs. Raw in 2009?
Taku Chihaya, Senior Creative Director: Working on Smackdown all these years, we've made a lot of match types for the game. We specifically tailored ladder matches one year, Hell in a Cell another year. But I didn't personally feel that we ever created tag team matches per se. This year we're really focusing on tag team matches and making them a stellar part of the game design, which is very exciting to me."
