Thankfully there are a LOT of games similar to, and some even better, than Monster Hunter still on Playstation, God Eater is my personal favourite and personally is a lot better, faster, and more action-packed than MH

a wii U version for japan while of course , may even name it Monster hunter 4 Ultimate .. maybe come out in a year from now in japan and 18 months after that for US , so ur talking 3 1/2 years at least , or nintendo could just make their consoles region free .. yet im not so sure the nintendo community has the backbone to speak up get organized and vote with their wallets ... its going to happen eventually

another Monster hunter that will never hit the states or be localized , i hate the Japanese / korean business model so many american game studios have locations all over the world yet japan/korea just likes to stay mediocre while making games that have so much international appeal and high revenue potential

i think it will but down the road , i dont even think its a priority for them yet its the just the way japan treats localized games in general has never been favorable for our market , MH4 comes out the 14th and no dates are announced for USA/EU markets or even a peep of a word that it should even be announced .. they dont do a good job at keeping there over seas fans to anticapted.. its very lazy imo .

...Monster Hunter huge potential just wasted from moving to 3DS ...now we get a very downgraded MH game with very much the same content from the previous installements as the Capcom got bored to add and work for new ...new monsters are very few and the new gameplay mechanics are not worth the money ..i hope Capcom will have her first failure with the franchise (like RE6) to learn not to moneybagged from Ninty and not get bored to develop the franchise for the main console (where it started) PS3 or PS4,vita

I was a massive fan but even after buying 5 different games of it on my PSP/PS3 they are all pretty much identical apart from a new home town and a couple of new areas... other than that it's pretty much all the identical...

No its not the same..... because these franchises moved on a better console and became 10 times better than before ...which was Ninty console that time??? N64.. none of these games couldnt be evolved in Ninty s oldschool console...to take a franchise like MH which is one of prettiest console games and moving it to the worst (from technical aspect)console of the market is just stupid

Honestly, the recent trailer released looked pretty good for 3DS. I have to admit this would be the final game that would make me pick up the system since there are not enough games I care about right now.

The problem is that Capcom is taking the series where I do not want it to go. That's including the hardware. Climbing on monsters backs? As soon as I saw Dragons Dogma, I knew it was a tech demo to do that in MH4. Jumping around with your weapons? Does not look appealing to me. No second thumbstick? That was the biggest complaint with all of the other Monster Hunter games (me not included, I prefer the claw). But the biggest complaint is that the this title, on this hardware is NOT an upgrade. It is simply settling.

Capcom has made numerous statements about how they are scared to release a Monster Hunter on recent consoles because they would be in HD and much work would need to be done, then suddenly the series goes to 3DS. Coincidence?

I might check it out when it comes to the states, but I really wish the circumstances were different. With over thousands of hours invested in MH games, I wish I was actually excited for it.

I dont see how monster hunter going from psp to 3ds isnt an upgrade....better graphics, better game library on the console. If capcom was so worried about HD in monster hunter, why is MH3G for wii u out? Furthermore, a simple 15 bucks gets you a second stick, and better battery life as a bonus.

O well, I for one cant wait till state release, it will happen....they showed it at e3 and made a big deal out of it awhile back.

Monster Hunter Tri for 3DS is barely even a graphical upgrade. The colors pop more, but the models and textures look like they did on the PSP if not worse. MH3G is not a native HD Monster Hunter so that can't really be used as an example. They ported MH3rd from PSP to PSN in Japan and that got terrible reviews for non-HD textures. I'm guessing Capcom wanted to try again with better results based on the networking infrastructure that was already set up to work through the Wii.

To this day, a MH game has not been created from the ground up with HD graphics. It also still relies on the same physics engine it has since the series started, which is why they tested the waters with Dragons Dogma.

I don't mean to be rude, but the second stick for the 3DS is a joke. That is Nintendo releasing a product to cover the short-sided failure of the 3DS hardware design. It's a band-aid. It may be true that most games may not require that second stick, but why would that not be built in to the system in the first place?
