Yeah, to be honest, I'm thinking pretty hard about keeping my PS3/360 and upgrading my PC for the moment. My older brother will probably get the WiiU so I'm good when I visit him.

I don't see any day one wows on either console for me at this point, Titanfall looks great, but those mechs remind me too much of the grizzlies in Starhawk and Shadowfall looks beyond great, but they could have went a much better way than what is currently going on in the Killzone universe in Shadow Fall (Shadow fall spoiler after this point, plus I know that TitanFall is on PC as well.)

I still have so many games on my backlog to play, so my PS3 isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If anyone missed the boat on PS3 or 360 or Wii, now would be the time to pick them up. Huge back catalog of great games on all three.

I typically only buy three or four brand-new games at full price per year. All my other purchases are usually playing catch-up with all the stuff I missed. PS4 will be my first at-launch console since the SEGA Saturn. Ooof, I feel old.

I'm on the fence with getting a PS4 right away. It launches close to Christmas and it's hard to justify spending $400+ on myself while there's other people to buy gifts for.

That being said, I finally traded in my old launch 360 so I've got $150 of store credit from it and accessories that I don't have earmarked for anything. I figured might as well trade it in now while I can still get something for it because I imagine once the new consoles are out they won't be worth anything for trade. I hadn't touched it for a couple of years and there's certainly nothing on the horizon that seemed to warrant holding onto it for me. Maybe I'll throw that towards a PS4 right after Christmas is done.

woooo I almost missed my PS4 preorder. I went to gamestop as they was closing the bars on the door last night and was there last customer. The clerk was like you're lucky because after tonight we can't take anymore preorders, it was a close call but I got my launch PS4 console solidified.

You do know there is a difference in the preorders? Launch Day preorders were sold out within a few days. The preorders since then are "launch window" preorders, which can extend into January 2014, worst case. There are going to be shortages.

@Bligmerk you are wrong I spoke to the manager as I was making my Preorder purchase and he said the stores preorders they take have been monitored and based off how much stock they will have available and they guaranteed a day one console. Sony allowed gamestop and other retailers to open the flood gates on taking more preorders months ago because they increased the launch stock. Now as far as gamestop goes they are getting a little dry with the available launch Preorder stock they will have available. The manager confirmed this is for day one launch and anything after that day would require a waiting list nor could they guarantee a launch day console unless Sony increases the stock and gives them the ok to open more preorders.

It's a shame how Driveclub is being dismissed so easily. I think once the game is actually shown off people will change their minds on it.

I completely get where the author is coming from but I am so tired of this generation. The slow in-game XMB and the sub-1080p resolutions are hard to ignore for me. I'd rather play multiplats on PS4 in full 1080p at a smooth frame-rate.

If I was a GT fan I'd probably be skipping PS4 too, but I'm not.

considering the amount of solid racing games on the market that run at 60fps, i don't see why people should have to settle for one that runs at 30fps. if they can get it to 60fps, though, that'll certain help its cause.

Come one man. Yes, FPS IS important but to pass on game just because of that isn't fair to the developers or yourself.

The devs have said that its possible they'll implement FPS and with the recent delay from launc title to "launch window" you may get your wish. Just don't hold your breath.

What people don't realize is that and I'm saying IF the PS4 gets to be the biggest selling console (no way to know before they are released) all of the X1 games they say is exclusive will be released on the PS4.

And I say this because games like Titanfall which everyone is raving on about it is a X1 exclusive but not forever, if the PS4 outsells X1 Titanfall along with other "exclusive" titles you can be damn sure they will be released on the PS4 in maybe 1-2 years.

You see when MS says they are exclusives that is what I would call truth but with modification, they aren't lying but they aren't telling you the whole truth either.

And this is my opinion of what I think will happen in a few years time IF the PS4 outsells X1.

the WiiU is a given but for the next to I am leaning heavy towards the Xbox One. But I still won't pick it up at launch. There are still many games to play for the ps3 and 360 to just jump right into the next gen consoles.

And as good as the launch line up looks for both systems it still pretty small. I also want to wait until their library gets a little bigger.

ps4 and xbox 1 have literally nothing to offer me that I cannot get with better graphics/higher resolutions and better performance on my pc

all the games I want from both ps4 and xbox1 are on pc besides killzone SF and I can wait on that

killzone has always been a good game, I loved 2 and 3, but they were not great games, just good, and SF looks to be about the same

launch titles and usually the first full year of a consoles games usually suck

maybe in 2014-2015 when we see if either console will even be successful enough to garner tons of 3rd party support, then I will get on when there are a bunch of quality titles for it

until then, pc for 95% of my gaming, and ps3/360 for old school, sub-hd, retro gaming
