Square Enix just made the client for the upcoming open beta test of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn available for download. (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, PC, PS3, PS4)

yeah, they confirmed that the old one won't work. You have to uninstall that and redownload.

It's a completely new client.

looks more or less like the final client then...hmmm
i wonder if i actually get a ps3 copy and use the same account on this very client then i can have thm both?

I don't think you can play on PC if you get only a PS3 copy...

You can absolutely use the same account and characters.

But you do need a copy for each to do so. And you cannot be logged into the same account on both systems at the same time

This is one of the few cases i'd avise to just pirate an installation (and then use a legit account) on pc ... if they dont make the pc version freely accessible of course

A pity the ps3 client will be later . it will probably be huge and psn aint the quickest to download those

well, for the previous beta it was about 10 gigs and took me 4 hours (and I just have a DSL), this one will be 20, so it'll take more or less twice as that.

The previous beta was only 4 gb it recommended you have 10 for the game.
