July 2013 PSN Top Sellers: Shadow of the Colossus Climbs to the Top

Naughty Dog’s hugely successful title The Last of Us continues to succeed on PSN, but it didn’t quite take the top slot this time. Thanks to the Summer Blast sale, the PlayStation classic Shadow of the Colossus climbed the charts to become the best-selling game in July. (PlayStation Network, PS Vita, PS3, PSP, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Of Us)

it's not counting the download of plus members.

i have to say i have been waiting to play this game for a very long time and it definitely didn't let me down. even though it's from a different area of gaming it's still hold is own against many much newer games it's a definitive classic must have title.

Only kidding, I love Europe. Just....curse you Europeans at the specific moment that you get better PS+ games than we do.

Im glad SOTC game is doing well and more people are getting to experience it!

It was one of those PS2 games, for me personally at least, that was a defining moment in my gaming history. I always blabber on to friends about this game and force them to try it!

p.s it actually looks really good in 3D too!!

That game had me in awe the entire time. My GF loved to watch me play and she said it was like watching a sad movie, lol.

I know what you mean, there are so many jaw droppingly beautiful moments, the story is so simple yet engaging, its more of an experience than just a game!

There is actually allot of replayability too if you get into it, have you made it to the secret garden?

No, but i did do 3 playthroughs. Dont have as much time for games as i once did. I do want this platinum though.

I only played it through the first 2 Colossi a few years ago, so I might need to pick this up sometime.

As far as games as an art form is concerned, this game is it for me. Little dialogue yet somehow made me care about the characters (even the horse Agro!). I'm no scriptwriter but I don't think that's easy to pull off.
