How Maxis 'snuck' its support of same-sex relationships into The Sims

Nobody at EA Maxis questioned it when lead engineer Jamie Doornbos introduced same-sex relationships into The Sims prior to its launch in 2000, said lead AI programmer David Graham during a panel at EA's GaymerX conference. (Maxis, PC, PS3, The Sims 3, Xbox 360)

it would be a little bit harsh in itself if they didn't let it to go against. Nobody ever thinks this and it doesn't bother anyone.
