Xenoblade Chronicles’ rarity has continued to rise over the past few months. Likewise, GameStop’s price for a pre-owned copy has increased.
Glad I got it for $50, when it was released through GameStop
Just wondering, why is it so expensive?
though it was released here, it was only released through gamestop and with a limited number of copies made
Because such a limited supply was shipped to the usa. Those who pre ordered it can now cash in because they're hard to find.
let this be a lesson for those that didn't get it, but it wouldn't hurt to release an HD remaster later down the line.
Glad I bought this game when I did, I adored it. I'm never giving it up.
It is incredibly dumb that Nintendo has allowed this to happen. They should have imported this game themselves and made more money. Whoever decides what games get released in what area needs to stop having brain farts. >(I know I blame Reggie for not releasing "Disaster: Day of Crisis". I know it wasn't the best game but it would have been fun at a cheaper price; now that they have a big title eShop there is no further excuse).< At the very least they ought to release a digital copy once the Sequel drops.
all of Nintendo Wii U games will be both physical and digital
Not Wii Games. "Disaster: Day of Crisis" & "Xenoblade 1" Are both Wii Games.
My post was directed to your last sentence
I meant- that they should release the 1st Xenoblade digitally. I did NOT mean- that they should release the 2nd Xenoblade only in a digital format.
Why didn't Nintendo release it digitally ?
Because the Wii's hard drive holds slightly less than a nice flash drive.
I agree but you can downlod to a Portable USB Hard Drive. For $50-79 you can get anywhere from 750 GB to 1TB. If you catch a sell or buy it used.
the thing is, you are going to wish you bought a physical copy.
I'm waiting for X to come out but I wanna play the other game. Xenogearsfan.
awesome game, too bad.
WOW, that means you can probably trade it back in for like... $4. Made the right call pre-ordering that. I've been doing the same for other games that dragged their heels getting to the U.S. I know Xenoblade was a special case, but you can't be too careful.
Why do Gaf posts become stories most of the time? Anyways from what I understand its very cheap to buy the Pal version.
I can still go into the GameStop here to purchase a NEW copy for $60; for those who will pay the $90 for a "used" game either don't know how to shop around (being limited on where to look/shop is one thing, not referring to those types of customers), or are that stupid and deserve to get ripped off.
I don't know if its more stupid than NOT buying it for 60 at gamestop and then selling it for 100 on ebay.
To almost double your money, that's a smart move; I'm referring to those that just jump in and buy a game (Especially when some places still actively sell it new cheaper) without spending the 5 min to check all bases first.
No, you can't. Because the odds of even FINDING the game are ridiculously low. For example, there isn't a store within a hundred mile radius of me with a new copy(by the way, it'd be $50, not $60, if a store DID have it).
I have the game but lost the box for it. So pissed off because its going for 100 on ebay right now.
cool i have the collector's edition how much it will cost lol
Who wants to buy my new copy for $5000? ;) I've actually got the new one, that I preordered, and a used one, that I got from Gamestop for $60, a couple months ago. Needless to say, the new one will stay new. I'm playing the used copy.
the funny thing is that this game's not even rare just like Suikoden II but because people are so stupid as to pay the ridiculous prices then it keeps going up.
no doubt they scammed the people selling them for less then 10$
I picked this up at Best buy a while back..still playing... If your a true JRPG fan you'll at least steal a wii minimum, to play this game..
i'm so glad i got my copy when i did. i might have to buy X when it comes out, even if i don't have a Wii U by then. because if it's anywhere near as good as Xenoblade, it should be awesome.
