Censorship Makes the World Go 'Round

CheatCC Says: "There are many games on the market that are deemed acceptable in America that other countries ban from release due to what could be considered socio-cultural unacceptability. Just last week, Volition had to announce that their open-world exercise in flamboyance, Saints Row IV, would have to undergo minor changes to be released in Australia. (Full story here.) Well, it hasn’t even been a full week and it looks like the foreign rating boards have been at it again." (ESRB, PC, PS3, Saints Row 4, The Last Of Us, Xbox 360)

the fact that we have an rating system should be enough.
if the game is rated M it usually means that you must be an adult to even purchase the product

an adult IS capable to distinguish reality and video games
( i actually think that pretty many teenagers are capable to do that too but..)

you don't NEED to censor content from a game that's CLEARLY not intended for children in the first place!!!

that's like if some government would say:
"hey, we should start censoring porn because we don't think it's suitable content for minors"

YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT!!!

in the end the problem is that kids get their hands on
M rated games, because their parents bought it for them..
and then they see what goes on in the game and get butthurt about it

but that's not the games fault.
it's the parents fault for being ignorant towards the ratings

if you consider that gaming is only for kids and assume that games are only made for kids
then that's your fault for being ignorant idiot.

this is an issue that has been bothering me for sometime now.. and i've had just about enough of it.
