The Elder Scrolls Anthology – Is It Worth Your $79.99?

When anthology editions of games are brought out, it always seems to raise an important question: is it actually worth it? In case you haven’t heard, Bethesda recently announced the epic and all-encompassing Elder Scrolls Anthology which includes: The Elder Scrolls Arena, The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and all DLC, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and all DLC, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and all DLC. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal if you ask me, but is it really worth the $79.99 they’re charging? In a way yes, and in a way no.

5 games and a ton of DLC? Definitely worth my $80.

Do keep in mind that both of the first games are free, though, so if you're buying the package more for the first three games then you'd be better of just buying Morrowind and the first two games off of Bethesda's site.

On the other hand if you've never played any of the series before then it's a solid package.
