Bit Tech- Papo & Yo Review

BT:Papo & Yo is about alcoholism and paternal abuse. That theme is central to the entire game. It's shared through playing as a young a child creating a fantasy world that allows him to escape from his real living situation, but this creation is flavoured by his real surroundings. He's altering environments he's familiar with and he replaces his father with a hulking giant monster. By day it's docile and occasionally helpful, but as soon as he succumbs to his vices he's a terrible threat to the child’s safety.

In case reviewer sees this:

"The Xbox 360 version, which we haven't played, apparently offers somewhat crude visuals and has issues with framerates, as well as suffering from a few bugs, so make sure to pick up the PC version."

There's a PS3 version, not a 360 version.

And I gotta say I disagree with such a high score, especially when there's rarely any semblance of challenge throughout the game.

Is there not a higher difficulty?

coolbeans1062d ago

There's no difficulty settings for it.

I think an easy game can be rated highly if it's a great experience, this game however, should be given a 7.5 or 8.

For the genre this one falls under: I find it very tough to weigh in the experience part when the puzzles and platforming is even "below easy" (my meaning from first comment).
