"One of my favorite game genres is undoubtedly the shoot-em'-up, affectionately referred to as the schmup, which has you firing at waves of enemies as you dodge their own shots, in the style of Galaga. One particular subgenre of the schmup is known as "bullet hell", wherein the player is mercilessly attacked by waves and waves of bullets in increasingly complicated patterns, testing their reflexes and pushing them to the limit. Mamorukun Curse! appears to be one of those games, subjecting the player to a high degree of difficult dodging challenges. Unfortunately, while the basic gameplay seems to hold up fine, the rest of the game feels like a bit of a mess."
