Cease Fire Fanboys: Xbox One vs PS4

Recent events have made it seem that the battle between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is relatively even. The gap between the two has arguably never been closer, with fanboys from both sides claiming their console is better.

Sick of it. I've made my decision, and I'm happy with my plan of action and rational. Listening to idiots dig at each other under the guise of "comedy" is sad and pathetic.

All I want is for my console of choice to hit the shelves so that I can leave all this crap behind for another 10-20 years.

"fanboys from both sides claiming their console is better"

to be fair XB1 fans never claimed it was ever more powerful, they just try to downplay the big power advantage the PS4 has.

malokevi1840d ago

"more powerful" and "better" have very little to do with one another.

NewMonday1840d ago

fortunately for Sony they have a large number of very talented studios to fulfill that power potential.

malokevi1840d ago

Yes. Not really what I was saying, though.

I just found it odd that you quoted a passage that didn't so much as mention console power, and then went off on a complete tangent.

Its pretty clear that to you, power is the sole determinant. And, that being the case, you have obviously thrown all of your weight behind the console with the raw power advantage.

Personally, I see power being one of the least important factors this generation, especially considering both consoles are so evenly matched.

Problem with fanboys or fangirls is in the gamers age group. younger gamers will have fanboys tendencies and that will never change so us more mature gamers should ignore the console war and let youngsters get on with pointless fighting :) sit back and lough

Another thing i noticed that calling "Fanboy" someone who have different opinion on witch console to buy is some kind of new way to underestimated they choice. Very silly thing to do as we all have our own reasons.

lough? Yeah you're a mature gamer alright.

i ment "laugh"

I'm still laughing

There's really no competition here. PS4 IS the better console. It is more powerful and it costs $100 less.

This article is kinda funny though considering the website its coming from.

Writer states Sony changed their policy after MS backlash but that wasn't the case.

TheGrimReaper00111839d ago

Thing is
Nobody can proove this.
Andrew House says they didnt, but ofcourse he wouldnt say that it did
Here is what I do know
Microsoft planned to, but then changed
Sony said no drm
What was planned or what was rumored is irrelivant
Getting a PS4 sometime next year and just as i hope everyone with a ps4, i hope the people with a xbox one will have a great time with their system
400 dollars/euros, 500 dollars/euros
It is still alot of money to most people

Sony DID say, way back around the time of their reveal, that the DRM policies on PS4 would be the same as PS3. And the only such things on PS3 are online passes.

But, for some reason, people wanted to hear SPECIFICALLY that there wouldn't be the same DRM that Microsoft was employing. Which is why they had to address it at E3, rather than focusing on games and other stuff.

Go with the system that caters to you. Embrace each system for the experiences they are going to bring and leave the politics behind. After all none of us get paid from MS or Sony to sit around here declaring winners losers or who is better or worst. November can come soon enough. My choice will be Xbox One.

Xbox One has fanboys?

Well, excluding the MS employees who have been crawling n4g for the past month doing damage control and stealth trolling.
