"Since PAX Australia is more of a public event with background media treatment, it has its fair share of extremely absurd moments over the course of the three day period.
Therefore, instead of doing the run-of-the mill “Best Of” Awards that we feel wouldn’t suit an event such as PAX, we here at OXCGN present to you, the awards for the wackiest things seen during our PAX experience."
G’day there and welcome back… to us? After a small break we’re back with another episode of the Game Club, Today we walk to Ryan ‘Rhapsody’ Pearson during PAX Australia. This rising YouTube star likes to focus on Indie rogue-like games for a very specific reason.
Junkee: "The show floor is loud. Hundreds of games and thousands of people. There are endless costumes throughout the crowd. Deadpool is holding hands with Sailor Moon. A group of Waluigis are protesting something and Spider-Man chats with Spider-Gwen. Long lines of people waiting to play games in every direction and every booth is blaring their game or product at high volume. Esports is loud. Fortnite dancing is loud. Zombie children and giant snakes are loud.
In amongst all this noise, there’s one sound that’s missing. An unmistakable sound that typically hums alongside all of this like an engine. A sound I only realise isn’t there until after it was all over — the sound of the internet."
If you're in Melbourne this weekend get a taste of the PAX Australia experience with the pop-up event in Fed Square.
Lol at the bouncers.
It's funny when people go around and tell women to put more clothes on. I bet they were happy to keep warmer!
