Need for Speed: Rivals on Xbox One & PS4 won't be that different from 360 & PS3 (Video)

Well according to Need for Speed: Rivals creative director Craig Sullivan, who spoke with DigitalSpy yesterday, there isn't any real difference between the current and next-generation versions of the game. (Need For Speed: Rivals, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

haha true ! last gen when the consoles launched they hiked it to $120 in australia ! its around $80-90 now

Which means they're rushing the PS4 and X1 version to milk a bit more -.-

That means you're doing it wrong. I think it's best for me to set my expectations to low for this. Maybe we can actually get the true next gen NFS successor to Underground a few years down the next gen consoles' life.

Then why bother making a next gen NFS game...if theyre no different from their PS3 and 360 counterparts?

This is getting ridiculous. If youre gonna replicate current gen games on next gen consoles...at least take full advantage of pushing next gen consoles to their limits and make them superior.

This gives noone a reason to by the PS4 and XB1 version, when you can get essentially the same exact game on PS3 and 360 with little to no difference. I swear...EA has got to be one of the stupidest devs out there!

All this does is highlight how many multiformat devs simply cater to the lowest common denominator and that the games are essentially the same in most cases despite the platform they appear on.

These cross-gen games might be the first to reach the bargain bins on new consoles for this reason.

Well it is EA so nobody should be surprised. Do you really think they would put in the extra work to make the game shine when they could just slap a next gen console logo on their and possibly raise the price? They know people will buy it anyways and sadly they will.

Prices for next-gen games are the same as this gen, so obviously you don't know what you're talking about. If you already have a PS4 or X1 anyway, you might as well buy the slightly better next-gen version.

I'm not getting this one anyway because Criterion aren't the developers.

The article is saying the game play will be the same but the visuals will be way better. No need to over react.

NFS games don't differ enough anyway.

For me it'll be DRIVECLUB AND THE CREW.

Pure fun/
