A New Mortal Kombat Game? What About All Those Characters?

J. Hugo of Kaboomshark writes "Mortal Kombat (or Mortal Kombat 9 to others) was probably one of the better fighting games released in this current generation and is still enjoyable at this time. The fact that it has seen a recent release on PC also contributes to the game’s strength even if it took awhile to get there. For me personally, it exceeded many of my expectations after playing some of the 3D-based ones on my PS2 (hint: I wasn’t too fond of them) and I’m looking forward to another in the near future. I am a bit curious as to how they’ll handle a certain plot situation that they ended off with in Mortal Kombat 9." (Culture, Mortal Kombat)

******MORTAL KOMBAT 9 SPOILERS*******

I'm not sure how this is an issue since magic is everywhere as is power over souls. Quite an easy workaround. All they have to do is either have the characters not appear in Story (and make a new cast to step up ala Tekiken 3) while having the originals apear in the VS modes and such, or have everybody revived.

That could also be a possibility. I'm just hoping I'll still be able to use Sub-Zero again...just not cyborg version. XD

I'd be surprised if you couldn't. Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the icons of the franchise. Even people who don't play video games recognize them! They will both be back I'm sure.
