Batman: Arkham Origins' multiplayer is being developed by Splash Damage

Splash Damage, developers of multiplayer shooters Brink, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Dirty Bomb, is leading development on Batman: Arkham Origins' multiplayer component, reports VideoGamer.com.

One of the multiplayer modes revealed so far is 'Invisible Predator', a mode that sees two teams face off against each other on the streets of Arkham as a player-controlled Batman & Robin stalk them from the shadows. (Batman: Arkham Origins, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

This feels like an unnecessary add on. Cannot say this got me excited in any way too be honest. Batman is good because of it's story, character development and also it's gameplay, but I don't think the gameplay is good enough alone by itself to establish a Batman multiplayer.

Yeah I'm not sure why they thought Arkham Origins needed multiplayer maybe if it was like Batman and Robin co op for the story mode I would be interested. This just seems really out of place I guess I will play it a few times when I get it just to try it but from what I've seen it doesn't look great.

BUT, I'll never say never.. I love AC series for their single player and was as skeptical for they multiplayer. Tried it, got hooked.

@xYleinen yeah well if you watch the track record of Splash damage you can see that they only have made mediocre multiplayers and all of them were shooters. Doesnt look good...

That's what they said about uncharted. It doesn't have anything to do with how good the gameplay is, it's obviously being done in a whole different manner then the single player.

The " this game doesn't need MP" crap is getting old. Give the game a chance before you form an opinion.

Yea AC multiplayer is amazing if you get a good game.

I'm hoping it's like that, expect you can glide from rooftop buildings and such.

To be honest, i prefer this over those challenge mission or whatever they were called.

If the main story is just as good as Asylum or City, this shouldn't be a problema, in fact, it might be good.

I thought the same with The Last of Us and the multiplayed ended up being quite fun.
