The best games of the year so far

Kyle Orland: Wow, is it almost August already? The year is flying by. Before you know it, the market will be flooded with an extremely crowded selection of holiday season games, both for current and upcoming platforms. Luckily, there's still a bit more summer left for those who need some time to catch up on this year's releases.

With that in mind, we wanted to take a quick look back at five games that have made the beginning of the year a great one for gaming. These are the titles that we would recommend without reservation to anyone looking for something new to distract them from their dull and pointless lives. Check out the video for some sample gameplay, then read about what makes each game worthwhile below. (Antichamber, BioShock: Infinite, Culture, Guacamelee, The Last Of Us, Tomb Raider 2013)

Just completed TLOU in Normal mode.
Can't wait To do New Game +
Also glad the game sells it self like Uncharted.
Love the labor of love for this game.
The ending was perfect.
