Is There A New Star Wars Game In The Works At EA? Besides Battlefront

Analog Addiction: "Several domain names for what appears to be a new Star Wars project have been registered by Disney’s Lucasfilm. Registration names include the likes of: StarWarsAttackSquadrons.com, SWAttackSquadrons.com, AttackSquadrons.com, or AttackSquadron.us." (Disney, EA, Industry)

I wouldn't mind more Star Wars games I'm still kind of hoping for another Force Unleashed even though the sequel wasn't that great.

Sounds like a mobile game. Maybe a 2d sidescroller where you're a fighter pilot.

It should be mentioned that Visceral is confirmed to be working on a Star Wars game, the article doesn't mention that. So, yes... EA does have more than just Battlefront going right now.

Here's one of many links talking about the Visceral/Star Wars project...

Also to note. Bioware is working on a Star Wars project with the core KOTOR team. Attack Squadron sounds like a space fighter game though not a typically Bioware specialty. I expect Visceral is the most likely studio working on that.

force unleashed sequel? lol how about hell no.....

X wing, Tie Fighter, KOTOR, Jedi outcast series, rogue squadron series

so many much better franchises than that pile of garbage.

Remember Rogue Squadron on PSP, I want a sequel to that on PSVita

Duh, of course there is. EA spent a shitload of money getting exclusive Star Wars license from Disney. They didn't do it to make just one game.

And so the udders start their ups and downs...

Mooooo....

yeah no news here. we already know visceral games is working on one. Hopefully they are continuing star wars 1313. They have experience with dark gritty third person shooters. Thats exactly what 1313 looked to be.

EA has never settled for just one.

I expect another.

And another, and another, AND another.

Is ea really more guilty of milking than other third party publishers like ubi and capcom?

Besides their sport titles, ea have arguably the most diverse lineup of games and new IPs this generation.

If it's Rouge Squadron... O_O
DeadlyFire  +   479d ago
A sequel to it as a WiiU exclusive? No way!

Although I do expect it to be similar to Rogue Squadron. Considering the title and that its most likely a space fighter game.

X-Wing vs Tie Fighter on next gen consoles.

Make it happen.

Please.

Its already known Bioware and Visceral games are working on Star wars games.

Well considering that EA already said DICE, Bioware, and Visceral are all working on Star Wars games... I don't understand these journalists that don't even bother doing some basic homework. How do they keep their jobs?
SouthClaw  +   479d ago
I hope EA got Star Wars First Assault with their deal that looked amazing and it was nearly done. I would also like to see another force unleashed
DeadlyFire  +   479d ago
They most likely scrapped that so they can build Battlefront entirely on Frostbite 3, but I still have hopes that it will exist as well as 1313.
