Games of the Past Review: No More Heroes | oprainfall

oprainfall writes:

"Promising violent sword-play, a unique art style, and sporting a very relatable main character, No More Heroes had me wriggling in excitement for the day that I would eventually get my hands on the title. Thankfully, my birthday was just right around the corner, and needless to say, No More Heroes was bestowed upon me that day. I rushed to my Wii, shoved the disk in, and got comfortable whilst saying “Goodbye” to the dry spell that had ever so plagued my gaming hobby." (No More Heroes, Wii) 4.5/5

4.5/5 ??!!! You're kidding right? You must of turned a blind eye to the horrible driving controls, bad level design and repetitive side missions.

You just had your 'game journalist' card revoked.

No More Heroes is an excellent game, and easily one of the best games on the Wii despite its flaws. I don't see how it having flaws means it doesn't deserve a high ranking, as every game has flaws. What makes a game a good game and not a bad one is how much it outweighs its own flaws with the good.

No More Heroes does just that.
