Iron Horse Cinema Releases ‘The Last of Us’ Fan Film

On July 25th, Iron Horse Cinema Productions published its very own ‘The Last of Us’ fan film. The film is done very well, and gives a bit of insight into what a future, big budget, full length feature film would look like. (Culture, The Last Of Us)

Keep your eye out towards the end when an extra playing a clicker is clearly told 'remember clickers are blind.' It seriously cracked my up.

I didn't hear that and I watched it again to make sure. I did notice they did a quick edit @ 12:05 so maybe they removed it.

You don't hear it, you see it. When you see the side view of Joel facing off against the clicker, you see the guy playing the clicker suddenly start feeling out in front of him as if someone just said 'remember, clickers are blind' and that was the best impression of blind he could think of with such short notice.

Ohhh, LOL. Yeah I see what you are talking about now.

I could have sworn this was posted earlier, but I couldn't find it using the search feature. Anyway, I approved it.

I think that girl did a great job portraying Ellie. Heck, she even looked a little like her. But that guy wasn't too good at being Joel.

Wow that was actually really good. I was expecting it to be crap, but was pleasantly surprised.

The best part was the whole gunfight scene. They replicated the AI perfectly!

I thought that was pretty terrible. They used lines from the game itself, they should have created their own extra scenario. The acting was pretty weak. The Twlight poster was an utter blasphemy. And the clickers make-up horribly bad. I've seen cosplayers doing a much better job. Honestly, I didn't like it a all. Except for the tracks from the OST that they used pretty well.

well the poster in the game was supposed to be a reference to the Twilight series, something about wherewolfs or some crap. The outbreak happened in 2013 in the last of us.

ahah I loved the game and especially the parts where they show a cutscene of joel frantically blocking a doorway like someones chasing him....only I killed the Sh@t out of everyone in the previous room before moving on.

They used the giraffe song in the hotel, totally WRONG geez.

I just gotta say the last of us has awesome music.

this game... i'm stuck after i get out of the hotel lobby (after you push the piano to climb up to a balcony)... the game just freezes at the balcony. it has happened to me twice.

this is pretty awesome! it seems like a lot of people are trying to compare this to a big budget film, but i think you guys did a really awesome job. im sure if you guys had the money, you would have made a killer film.

I liked it. The two actors are missing the nuanced interaction that exists in the game but they did a good job none the less. I like the fact that all of the spoken lines are lifted entirely from the game and there is no artistic license taken. This little fan homage is proof of concept that TLOU would make a great movie in the vein of and similar to The Road. I would love to see a full feature film based on this game.
