Gran Turismo 6: The Last Great Reason To Keep Your PS3

As the generation winds down, there are a few huge PS3 exclusives still on the horizon. The last seems to be GT6 and you can't afford to miss out! (Gran Turismo 6, PS3)

Well I'm keeping mine because there are so many games I still need to play also going to keep for certain games like Rocksmith because I play it everyday :)

I doubt there will be NOTHING for the PS3 after this year. Hell, I imagine there are still some exclusives for this year that we don't know about.

People seem to forget Sony isn't other companies that end support for a console as soon as its successor is out.

I guess that's what happens, though, when you spend all your time trying to convince others they're as bad as a certain other company.

If people think Sony's just going to drop support for the PS3, they simply haven't been paying attention. Not only was the PS2 sold side by side with the PS3 until recently, it was supported for that long as well with new titles coming out all the time.

If you look back at the first 4-5 years that the Wii/360/PS3 was available, you'll still see PS2 games sneaking into top 10 sales lists fairly routinely. It's funny that when people want to judge which company ruled the living room these past 7 years, they always pretend that the PS2 just disappeared in 2006, when the reality was Sony handily sold more home consoles than even the Wii with the one/two combo of the PS2/PS3 since 2006.

There's no doubt in my mind we'll be seeing great PS3 exclusives and overall support for years to come, because we've seen Sony do this before.

An inconvenient truth, for some.

You could even sensibly argue- though those without sense would try to dismiss it- that the PS2 has taken some sales away from its successor. Just how many is impossible to quantify, but there were most certainly those who bought a PS2 rather than a PS3.

I still play a hell of a lot of GT5 and my PS3 games-to-play list stretches to infinity and beyond thanks to PS+.
Im excited for PS4 but my PS3 is definitely going nowhere.
