DICE looking into Stats and Progression transfer from current to next-gen in Battlefield 4

Players have been buzzing about if their progress in Battlefield 4 for current consoles will transfer to next-gen, but will it happen? A report earlier by VideoGamer says no, but now DICE has officially stated they are “Investigating.” In a tweet, the official Battlefield account says... (Battlefield 4, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Some people want to start playing BF4 as soon as it comes out. I know personally I want to buy BF4 on my PS3, then get it on the PS4 and have all my stats transfer over. So I am hoping that DICE can tweak their servers to pull this off.

Why not have the option to have one unified stats pool between PC and current and next gen consoles? It was so annoying unlocking almost everything possible on xbox 360, and then getting a PC where i had to start from scratch. What harm does this do? If people are upset that it will give next gen players who played the game on current gen consoles an advantage, there will always be someone with more guns than you, unless you are the guy who gets the game early and plays it all day, in which case: Get a life. lol

Seriously, we all have to have Origin accounts anyways, so why not unify stats for all platforms? They could always keep the leaderboards separate for those type of people... As much as I like playing battlefield with friends on xbox, I'm not going to buy the 360 version if this isn't included.

I like the idea of just transferring all of your progression you have so far and letting the stats start from scratch, at least we won't have to start over unlocking everything.
