Jupiter comments on 'Picross e' series, mentions reason for delays in North America

"After months of waiting without any confirmation (subtle or otherwise) on the game’s fate outside Europe, Picross e finally made its way to North America just last month. With it being the first entry in Jupiter’s new digital series of picture crossword puzzles exclusive to the Nintendo eShop, featuring 150 levels and a new navigation system, Picross e2 (releasing today) and Picross e3 (coming later) now seek to introduce new ways for advanced players to approach the addictive logic puzzler." (3DS, Jupiter, Picross e2, Picross e3)
