Killzone Mercenary Preview | Metal Arcade

Metal Arcade: Jason Bakker writes:

Killzone Mercenary’s excellent visuals and tight, addictive gameplay should make for a stellar PlayStation Vita exclusive later this year.

Sony has been touting the incredibly powerful PlayStation Vita handheld as a device that can deliver console-quality experiences in the palm of your hand. While it’s been proven that the Vita can display awe-inspiring visuals with its beastly hardware specs and crisp OLED screen, it’s been a bit lacking in the triple-A, killer app department. Is the Framerate that much if an issue? And does it feel more like killzone 2 or 3? Thanks nice preview.

As for your other question, I only played a bit of 3 but it felt similar to KZ 2 to me. Framerate only froze up a bit during some explosions and things that will likely be ironed out before release.

Too bad they turned this franchise into just another generic shooter to try and appeal to CoD fanboys.

Obvious troll obviously trolling.

I bet you have not played Killzone.

For those saying it plays more like kz2 that's a very good sign.

I don't know exactly who worked on the vita version but they did get rid of the mp designer from kz3 and brought back the kz2 mp designers about 2 years ago.

So hopefully killzone is back to killzone and not cod zone 3

Its good to know the gunplay is more like KZ2 and also the AI is just as smart as the other KZ games :)
