PS4Home: FIFA 14 Game Preview

PS4Home: "FIFA fans will definitely want to pick this one up. FIFA 14 is set for a multi-platform release this September" (FIFA 14, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

I really hope they have sorted the Offside system, it has been truely appalling these last couple of years.

EA is very well capable of releasing the older versions of Fifa games in HD. If that happens, which is very likely(since is EA that we are talking about),I hoped they could re-release Fifa 2002. Why ? Because it was the only Fifa that we could do Bicycle kicks from the middle of the field and score.

" why spend millions to develop a platform or gameplay infrastructure only to abandon it almost immediately, when you can use it as a blueprint for something bigger and better?"

Seriously ? someone needs to get out of EA's behind ... this has been going on for quite a while , dropping it wouldnt qualify as immediately .

Not arguing they should , but wow that's some serious ass kissing .

" Once again, the overall skill level of your individual players will factor into their ball handling"

Really ? There was very little individuals AI handling , and almost everyone can still do big moves they might not have the skills to performs .

There was much wrong with fifa 13 at least . and I haven seen much in the way of trying to adressing or even acknowledge that so far . So many bugs that werent even there last year . So many baffling referee decisions , because they freeze when it involves most things from the collision engine

So nah , until proven wrong , this looks like the least interesting fifa release of the past years

Fifa hasn't been interesting since 2009/10

For every feature they add/tweak, it also loses something useful or introduces new bugs.

EA's tagline for pretty much every FIFA release in past 5 years:

'improved physics engine'
'improved graphics'
'updated roster'

Thats about it haha.

EA need to sort out the A.I,every team you play against plays the same no matter what formation they use no matter what what country they are from and it's unbalanced towards attacking. Konami need to get back on the horse and be serious competitors again.Fifa is getting worse.

there was another preview that said it was an incremental change from 13 (meaning same game) and another that said the momentum system on the demo play was completely broken. Then another one where the guy was boasting about his 90th minute goal - well everyone scores in the 90th minute because of the scripting so that doesn't bode well either.

Unless FIFA introduces an online GM mode like (but better than) NHL, PES this year I think
