DSOGaming writes: "Valve's Marc Laidlaw has released a video teaser of something. In this video, Laidlaw questions himself whether he should 'do it'. This video shows off an elevator and Laidlaw's finger is almost touching the button for the third floor. However, towards the end of the video, Laidlaw pushes the 'L' button. By putting these two together, we may be witnessing the first official teaser for Left 4 Dead 3."
A Left 4 Dead 3 reference was spotted in the files of the Counter-Strike 2 closed beta, suggesting that the title may finally be in development.
Not the first time it's been referenced. Valve said years ago that it wasn't in development, but of course things change. L4D3 was supposedly almost finished at one point but development stopped because Source 2 was still incomplete.
Most of the time you get people saying a third game isn't needed as there's nothing to improve upon anyways, which is complete nonsense. I have to wonder if those that say such things have junk computers or something. Why they'd want to keep playing the same repetitive thing over and over is beyond me.
Valve's Robin Walker elaborates on the rumored Left 4 Dead 3, Portal VR, and a whole lot more in this month's IGN Unfiltered.
If they are going to do more VR stuff, I prey it's not exclusive stuff
No one wants VR exclusive Portal, L4D stuff, give us the option and let everyone play, especially with how long we've all been waiting for new instalments to these games.
I'd like to see a new Counter Strike, that has a story mode and is inspired by SOCOM or SWAT. The world could use more tactical shooters and Valve could do a phenomenal job with this series, if they take it in this direction.
I just want L4D3 they popped out L4D2 pretty fast after the first game and now they are dragging their feet. I know L4D3 would be a day one for me the series is my favorite shooter and I don't like many shooters.
I don't think Portal VR is a good idea considering what you do in those game I'm pretty sure I'd be puking all over the place.
Valve says Left 4 Dead 3 is absolutely not in development at the studio, despite recent rumors.
Valve needs to actually make games. Half life alyx is a start, but there needs to be something other than VR and dota.
I’m not happy they sucked in campo santo and now have them doing their bidding.
L4D3... no you mean L4D2.999
And that video comes right after the discovery of the 'Left 4 Dead 3 counter' website. Can't be a coincidence.
I'm not a fan of L4D but this could be good news for those who are
I thought he was going to press L then 3...
The video is fake. As a Valve employee we all know that his finger would have disintegrated when it approached the 3.
