FIFA 13 is still a big winner for EA, with a number of different products continuing to bring in revenue. During the second quarter 2014 earnings call, the publisher touted it's flagship soccer title's placement in the top five biggest titles in the West.
Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
Just who is buying FIFA 13 on Wii U? We may never know, but there are more people buying that than there are Bayonetta 2 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.
Sonic Boom is riding off the popularity of the TV show; it's a bad game.
And as for FIFA?
Well, guess that goes to show that there's a lot of older gamers on Wii U that wanted FIFA, then; sports games generally do out-sell action games, and Platinum isn't known for large sales in the first place.
I'm not worried for Bayonetta. It'll hit that 1M mark by the middle of next year, surely, at its current pace.

The Fifa franchise has completely dominated the sports sim scene over the last 4 years and established an almost insurmountable lead on the Pro Evo series.
That and the fact they do little to nothing each year to improve the game, reminds me of call of duty.

It's even worse on handheld consoles such as the 3DS and the Vita (FIFA 13 was the same as 12 on vita).
hopefully people might be wise to it on FIFA 14. Unless they add the ability of an online career similar to Madden or NHL 13 it may be a PES year.
