More like "open world minigame gameplay".

Abriael1098d ago

Eh, doesn't look that minigame-ish to me to be honest.

MestreRothN4G1098d ago

Maybe because the naval minigame is becoming the full game. hehe

pedrof931098d ago (Edited 1098d ago )

That must be the Ps4 version.

inveni01098d ago

Yeah, I'm surprised how many devs are favoring the PS4 version for demos.

Sevir1097d ago

Its the ps4, confirmed by Eurogamer, details that give us clues is the fact that the foliage has its own physics that moves as you hide in it, which is discussed in great length in the Digital foundary write up.

I don't think too much that its because Revs favor the PS4, I think its more to do with Sony AGGRESSIVELY marketing the ps4 and securing partnerships with key publishers for certain titles...UniSoft has always shown off PS footage of their games due to the partnership in-place. Much like the new partnership for bungie with Activision and the rumored partnership Sony has with Epic as well as Edios square and Warner Bros interactive.

inveni01097d ago

@Sevir

I don't need Eurogamer to tell me it's the PS4 version. The button prompts give it away.

brodychet1097d ago

Wow this looks so much better than I thought it would. This video has sold me.

Campy da Camper1098d ago

That looks head and shoulders better than the last 2 installments. Waypoints as fast travel points, seamless boat to land, WHALES!!!

I'm excited to play this game!

BluEx6101098d ago

Same here. After AC III I was a little put off by AC IV. But now that I see, it's gameplay more and more, it looks really fun. I'm mostly excited about the pirate theme to it. Ship battles, crew recruiting and treasure hunting etc...

Going to have to add this to my PS4 collection.

blennerville1097d ago

looks good, im interested in this game. i love the pirate gameplay - just a shame they are bringing back the creed.

Goro1098d ago

I wish i was a pirate

jimmywolf1098d ago

i hope the game does well but am going wait for a $20 price point

MestreRothN4G1098d ago (Edited 1098d ago )

I hope it sinks for becoming more casual, unpolished and uninspired every entry, but at a 20 price point, AC 3.0.0.1 may be worth a try.

Abriael1098d ago

Why exactly does it look unpolished to you?

CrossingEden1098d ago

sitting behind a computer at a desk hoping that a game that is the culmination of over two and a half years of hard work from seven talented studios as in at least 100 developers with families of their own is really sad and immature of you, gamers wanna be respected yet they say comments like "i hope this game sinks" each person that worked on this game has done more work in their life then YOU, but i guess in your mind making three huge cities, creating several minutes of new animations (an animation usually last 3-10 seconds), creating 50 unique locations isn't considered hard work to you -_-

DARK WITNESS1098d ago

@ CrossingEden

If the amount of resources was the only factor determining the quality of the game then it would be a fair point.

How many dev's worked on AC3? They have families, wonderful, but this is not a charity. If they can't make a quality game then they should leave it to the people who can.

If a game does not match up to the quality they portray when they show off videos like this then it deserves to tank.

MestreRothN4G1098d ago

@CrossingEden

Well, first, what do you know about me to say that "each person that worked on this game has done more work in their life then (sic)" me? What do you know about them? Do you realize how stupid is your rage and prejudice? How would you compare art making and "real world" needs to say what is "doing more"? Okay, too hard for you.

Second, Dark Witness answered it. If a game is getting worse and worse, if they are treating it like CoD, calling AC3.0.0.1 as AC4 (and people like you fall on and support this), I really think these schemes shouldn't get along and I hope for this business to fail, leaving room to DECENT business, innovation and quality.

Gamers want to be respected and that's WHY they hope this milking stops. FFS, they probably spent more on marketing than development.

Third, I'm not a grammar nazi. I don't even have english as native language... But google "then" and "than".

MattyG1098d ago

How is it becoming more casual? Since when is adding more features making things casual?

snipes1011097d ago

Given how many features have been added to the games over the years, I really don't see how you get off calling the games casual.

MiasmaDodo1098d ago

Looks absolutely gorgeous.

I may be buying this and FIFA day 1 for PS4

GusHasGas1098d ago (Edited 1098d ago )

the synchronization points doubling as fast travel points is really damn helpful.

Abriael1098d ago

Yep, considering how big the world is :D

Tdmd1098d ago (Edited 1098d ago )

Agree. But considering how view points just got so much more important than ever before, I wish they would be harder to reach and much more well guarded as well. Give me a challange!
