"When Tekken Tag Tournament 2 launched last September I didn’t have too many concerns about the future of fighting games. Here was a full-priced title with AAA productions values which was packed with content and had a thriving online community. Fast forward to today and the future of the fighting game genre appears in jeopardy, with no major new entries in established franchises like Dead or Alive, Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur or Virtua Fighter having been announced for consoles, let alone the Japanese arcades."

Tekken gone F2P, an enticing aspects that many people don't need to buy every character just to play a few.

One might argue it is Pay2Win and better to wait longer for the $60 Full Game price to come down.
