Aliens: Colonial Marines gets difficulty adjustment and AI improvements

A new patch has been released for Aliens: Colonial Marines that, amongst other things, adjusts the easiest difficulty setting.

For the two people that may want still want to play the game, the easiest difficulty setting has been tweaked and adjusted and (apparently) been made easier.

socom confrontation went from crap to amazing within a couple months

i'm not defending the game, i don't care for it, just giving an example of a bad game that turned good.

That's true, confrontation did. Confrontation was even more of a mess on a tech side than aliens. But aliens core content was a disappointment, fixing ai and stuff won't change that. The fact is based off the alien movies a great game could be made. Take the alien lore and mix it with original dead space for example. People thought this was game was going to be much more than it was, a patch won't fix that.

They should of made this game, like the early E3 demo footage. Current gen and PCs can handle the early E3 footage of this game. Too late Pitchford!

Its nice theyre patching it so much post launch.. Wouldnt have been necessary if theyd finished it in the first place though.

Itd be funny if the ai and other shortfalls were resolved this late.. So stupid.. Whos going to appreciate it? the reviews are done, the sales are done. All it can mean is when people pick it up for next to nothing in a few years theyll wonder why the reviews were so harsh. XD

Pretty much everything they touch turns to pooh. And when fans are pissed, Gearbox always points their poop covered finger of blame at someone or something else. "well its not our fault because...." Oh ok, you know what? Fuck you grearbox.
I hear they are taking on some old space game franchise...that will turn to sh*t as well.
