Canceled Saints Row III 'Enter the Dominatrix' DLC to be released as SR4 add-on

GameDynamo - "Enter the Dominatrix, the Saints Row expansion, has had a weird history. Initially revealed as an April Fool’s joke last year, the DLC was confirmed to be coming to Saints Row: The Third the following summer only for Volition to delay it, saying that it would be incorporated into SR4 instead." (PC, PS3, Saints Row 4, Xbox 360)

Uh no. You make it a part of the game.
OmegaShen  +   766d ago
I wonder why people make bs about the dlc? I watch video and the makers of SR said they took parts from the dlc an added it to SR4. Plus they felt it was kind of dumb having one team on the dlc and another on SR4.

So I can careless about getting a new dlc vs getting a new game.

That title doesn't need the words 'add on'.
ExCest  +   766d ago
Why? It clarifies that it's a DLC for SR4. If you remove "add on", you get a title that says the DLC is what SR4 is, which it isn't.

Unless you are making parody that all SR4 is is a DLC to SR3.

"Unless you are making parody that all SR4 is is a DLC to SR3"

There you go.
ExCest  +   766d ago
@^ Well, that's not very nice to the developers.
HammadTheBeast  +   766d ago
Well... it IS true....
NarooN  +   766d ago
Honestly SR4 does look like DLC for SR3. The graphics look exactly the same, same controls, everything's the same, they just made the game itself wackier. Not really sure why they decided to just make a whole new game, but whatever.
Gran Touring  +   766d ago
Hold on, so they axed the DLC from SR3 to put it in SR4, but it is now going to be a DLC for SR4? Why not just include it in the retail release?

Why don't someone make an open sandbox game on an alien world ?

Every dev these days cuts content from games & say they work on new dlc.... Its fske pr they have the dlcs ready .
MiasmaDodo  +   766d ago
How about after this garbage game called Saints Row 4 is released and flops.

Techland gives Volition enough cash to make a true sequel to the Phenomenal Saints Row 2?

sick of Aliens, farts, movie stars, Johnny Gats death etc...
Go back to Saints Row 2 and give me more!!!!

Yep, I'm Commander Naroon, and this is my favorite comment on this article.

SR2 was the best and instead of improving on that, they just went for let's make everything crazier and it went boring/dull pretty fast in SR3

it was fun fighting different gangs in SR1-2

SR4 won't do well you can take that to the bank with GTA5 and next gen right around the corner many gamers will be saving up to get next gen games

but sad thing is even if this sells 2 million its a huge success because this was meant as a expansion pack and the only reason it turned into a full game because THQ needed money. So even if it sells 2 million development cost can't be that much since this isn't a full game

also the publisher that both SR IP is known for recycling just look at dead island/dead island riptid
FarCryLover182  +   765d ago
Just an FYI: Techland has nothing to do with this game. Techland are developers not owned by Koch Media under the label of Deep Silver.

Deep Silver (Koch Media) owns Volition.
MiasmaDodo  +   765d ago
@Farcry

if true thanks for the info.
I swear I saw Techland as their purchaser
FarCryLover182  +   765d ago
Nah, it was Deep Silver! Techland are just and independent game developer (who I don't think would have had the funds on hand to purchase Volition. Right now they are working on a new game called Dying Light with WB as publisher).
showtimefolks  +   766d ago
sr4 itself it a dlc expansion pack, the only reason this was turned into a full game because THQ needed money(not my words, from THQ and SR developer)

Sr4 by blackfriday for under $20

They should have made this a 39.99 instead of full price
FarCryLover182  +   765d ago
It will certainly go on sale fast (as do most games).

But this game will probably go on sale a little faster.

oh yeh just imagine how fast some of the games from early-mid 2013 be on sale when next gen console/games hit stores

SR4
Lost Planet
Fuse(yeh i know its average but still worth $10 bucks i hope lol)
Bioshock

i don't know why but i am very interested in lost planet 3, it reminds me of what dead space once was
FarCryLover182  +   765d ago
I'm not sure why you're too interested in Lost Planet 3, either. Hopefully it turns out good though!
