GameTap previews Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon

Cryptosporidium, the humanity-hating extraterrestrial, is back, and this time he wants to make it funky. Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon is set in the 1970s; in addition to the hapless earthlings, this time Crypto sets his sights on kung fu movies, disco, sci-fi movies, and other icons of the Me decade.

THQ is touting the Wii's Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed as the prequel to the Path of the Furon for the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but considering the lukewarm reception that game seems to have received, maybe it's best to harken back to earlier chapters. "In reality this is more of a spiritual sequel to Destroy All Humans 2 for the PS2," creative director Jon Knoles said at the THQ games summit.
