Darksiders: Wrath of War preview from GameTap

GameTap's Thierry Nguyen writes:

"I'm watching Vigil Games general manager David Adams give a demonstration of Darksiders where War, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, hacks and tramples down various demonic creatures all while astride his mighty steed Ruin. The whole time, in the back of my head, I'm thinking 'this kind of reminds me of Twilight Princess, when Link rides Epona.' My assessment isn't totally inaccurate: Adams later says that the basic pitch for Darksiders was 'a badass version of The Legend of Zelda.'"

The story is too old to be commented.

WOW that game is officially on my radar, if I recall correctly I think this was the apocalyptic game that was in GI some months back that no one was talking about. If the game plays as badass as that article suggests, then they have a winner. I'm really interested in pulling this off:

"Another neat attack was charging into battle on Ruin, jumping off and, er, carjacking a large demon. As War rode the stampeding demon and steered it into other enemies, Adams said, "You can add 'other demons' to the list of environment weapons that War can use."

That = dope.

me, and just one or two others have been the only ones commenting on this game, but I hope it does really well, I need a good hack and Slasher to round off my collection.

This looks really good, check out the vids at Gametrailers, early footage but Still looks promising.
