Massively: "Final Fantasy XIV makes me happy for a variety of reasons. Some of them I've written about, and some things make me slightly less than happy on a whole. The point is made either way: I like the game, and there's a lot of stuff to write about, a lot of big issues that easily sustain a whole column on their own."
Today, during a pane at PAX East, Square Enix announced the release date of the next expansion Dawntrail, on top of the editions and more.
The MMORPG will arrive on Xbox consoles on 21st March following its open beta, with Square Enix releasing further details on the launch in a new Lodestone blog post.
Not only is Game Pass required to play the game in full, but FFXIV Coins will be required to make purchases - a new currency not used on PC or PlayStation.
What's even the point if they're doing everything possible to convince people NOT to play?
Bad idea. Kind of at the point its almost like a repeat of FFXI on the 360 with it requiring Gold to play.
Greed greed nothing but greed. Anyone who willingly plays 14 on Xbox is a bona fide sucker.
Kotaku writes: "That’s thanks to a series of announcements from Square Enix about exclusive features and play requirements, the latest being a new currency called FFXIV Coins."
awesome game, can't wait for next months release
"Final Fantasy XIV makes me happy in small ways" makes me happy in a big way and it starts in my pants!!
I don't know what i think about it. It does alot right but it's missing something. I was a big fan of ffxi. The party system don't feel right. I don't know its just feels like they departed from ffxi to much and made it guild wars. I'll still pick it up and see what they do with it. Game plays great.
Besides FATE's, how is this like GW? Thank god it's not like XI. XI is beyond the times with it's systems.
Sorry, was meant as a reply to Phantomexe
I can't wait fot ff14 but 1 thing that kinda bothers me is there's no the long transport rides (aircraft , boat). I was hoping for a 10-15 min long journey of sight seeing and random attacks but nope , get on and your there in a jiffy :(
my friend hyped it up saying it was epic just to feel sad inside
