GameInformer: "The Assassin's Creed series has always freely jumped across the ages, but some fans have longed for a modern day take on the war between the Assassins and Templars. If that's you, don't hold your breath in anticipation."
We already have one coming out...it's called WatchDogs. I'm kind of convinced that before they started to milk AC, Watchdogs was kind of the concept of what AC3 should of been like before it went big changes to make it a new IP.
Even though I do want to try Watchdogs quite a bit, and only because the game looks very much like GTA combined with a whole lot of new things itself, trying to make it different, I personally don't want to support Ubisoft. The only thing the company has done so far is milk AC, and then milk Prince of Persia, and then fire the main guy who made AC what it truly is. It's like biting the owner who fed you.
I was always hoping at one point an AC game would be made all in present day played as Desmond, and then they killed him. So much for that.
Haven't beaten it. :,(
Thanks for the spoilers. >:(
I'd be mad about the spoilers, but I'm not going to lie - I got bored with AC3, consequently stopped playing it, and had no intention to get back to it. So instead of being mad, I'm thanking you for letting me know that so I can check the wikia and see what happened before AC4 comes out.
Thanks for tthe spoiler alert you freaken backwards chimp. Bub down for that man. Not cool. Not cool at all. You owe people an apology.
Yeah I was pretty unhappy about that, Thanks dude
I think an AC set in eastern Europe (Berlin) in 1989 could be really cool. Thats close to present day
World War 2; end it by killing Hitler.
We already have the Saboteur.
Ok fine. Do a assassin's creed on the digital age. Hey its part of history.
Don't need it. We have Watch_Dogs to fill that void. If you're more interested in the sight seeing aspects, we also have inFamous: Second Son coming. We're good. ;)
It's best to stay historical anyway. They seriously need to go to Feudal Japan though. Next gen should be able to handle the monesteries in the mountains and everything else.
Oh my god want to go to those mountains in real life. Tgeir so beutuful. But I don't mind doing it In assassin's creed. Been wanting a japanese one since #2.
So do I...I'd deal with my vertigo in order to make it up there. It would awesome..
I think a Japanese AC would be epic. All the ninjas and samurais and stuff. Maybe they'd bring in stuff like dripping poison down a wire to kill people and the such like. Definitely would play a feudal Japan one, tbf, anything in around Asia would be fine.
Revolutionary France / Napoleonic Wars World War One Opium Wars Do any of those and I will shit myself with glee.
I never wanted a modern day AC game anyway. If they go too modern, I fear AC will turn into a 3rd person shooter-- for that reason I'd prefer the AC games don't go too far past the late 1800's.
It wouldn't work. The technology and weapons of the enemies would be too advanced.
Feudal Japan would be awesome
Give me a alternative-sci-fi Atlantis assassins creed with an epic emotional ending that kills the protagonist.....and Atlantis fall with him. The creative would be amazing because its technically fiction.....only with possibility it isn't. Very cool!
Assassins creeds Nazi Germany would be cool. A poetic assassination of mein fuher to end the game.
What about a AC game set in the year 3000 sum futuristic s***
There's a modern day assassin, his name was Agent 47.
Nor would we want one. The period times that an Assassin's Creed game simulates is one of it's main selling points, at least it is for me. I like being shown historical moments or eras in history and Ubi do it well in translating their own vision of it. Albeit they'll eventually run out of eras to make games around but until then stay out of the future and focus on the past at least for the ancestry parts, it's much more interesting.
When you put it that way: Ubisoft messed up their chance at milking when they started with the first game. They should've taken out the modern-day plot while keeping the ancestry part for a while. Then at the last last game is when we get to meet Desmond (or at least, hinted to his existence a few games toward the end).
Wasn't even expecting 4th one this soon :|
