Nehalem sits cosily with 288GB on a dual-socket mobo

There were several Nehalem demo systems and boards around the tech showcase at Intel' Shanghai Developers Forum this week.

One of them was particularly interesting - a dual-socket, six-channel DDR3 Tylersburg DP Gainestown-based board from Intel, a server variant with six DDR3-1333 DIMM sockets per CPU (12 total).

Just imagine all those processor cores with 280Gig of Ram just sitting there... Amazing. I predict 16Gig on a desktop will be pretty common by this time next year. PC Gaming may make a comeback...
