While the game had DLC, no sequel or similar game has been released that makes use of the formula found in LA Noire. Here is a list of 5 games I’d like done using the LA Noire structure for next-gen consoles.
Not sure if that's a good idea to convert Ace Attorney into LA Noire Style.
Yea you don't take this game and apply it to others, you create a whole new IP. Is the gaming industry that uncreative that they can't come up with new IP's on the regular ? I could do that all day and do nothing but that. Would actually be a dream job.
I'm watching the X-Files right now and I'm close to finish season 2 and the series is so amazing that no wonder is lasted for so long. There are so many episodes yet every one of them feels very fresh and different from one another. That Chris Carter guy is a genius! And yes, an X-Files game with the style of LA Noire would be so good!
For me LA Noire was a terrible game. I understand what you mean by LA Noire style but I think they should stay away from the set formula you do to solve the crimes. So repetitive. Also the face tech didn't work that well. Great you have really animated faces but it makes the bodies look wooden and body language (as well as face movements) are important in you think someone is lying.
I have seen in a lot of game developer videos that the face capture and motion capture are being combine in next gen game. I have seen it being used on Killzone Shadowfall and Infamous SS.
Law and Order was my first thought when I read the headline. A mix of LA Noire (only, you know, a lot better) detective work, and a more serious version of something like Phoenix Wright? Sign me up for 20 copies. I'd only want the original, though. None of that SVU or CI nonsense. I can do without a "Press X to punch rapist" scene every 2.5 minutes.
I would love to see a X-Files game done this way. L.A.Noire was fantastic at slowing the game pace down and immersing the player in puzzles and story line, and of course this type of game is not for everyone, but everyone i have spoke to said they really enjoyed it. Its a classic for sure , so was Red Dead Redemption.
Infact, lots of games need to use this style.
I would love to see some of it in RPGs too.
