Michel Ancel outlines vision for next-gen Beyond Good & Evil 2

EuroGamer - Beyond Good & Evil 2 will massively expand the scope of the original game and stretch across multiple cities and planets, according to creator Michel Ancel. And while it's not yet confirmed that the game is Ubisoft Montpellier's next project, it could be announced within the next year. (Beyond Good & Evil 2, Michel Ancel, PC, PS4, Xbox One)

I'm afraid his ambition might be a little too big for the people who are actually going to purchase the game. The project hasn't been greenlit yet. And by the looks of it, it's going to be expensive to add everything he wants.

I got the impression he meant it was too ambitious for the tech at the time, so I'm still going to hold on to my wishful dream that we're getting a new BG&E next gen. May never happen, but I'm feeling optimistic :)

If there's one complaint I had about the first one, it's that it was WAY too short. That and the voice work was pretty sketchy.

This however, sounds like it'll rectify those problems. Still though, it seems almost TOO big in comparison to the first game. To the extent that'll be absolutely nothing like the original. I'm sure it'll be a good game but...
