Official Xbox Magazine-WWE 2K14 preview: hands-on with 2K's first match

Like a wrestler who’s cut loose his devious manager but has yet to embrace the fanbase, the WWE video game franchise is at a weird crossroads. The franchise is free from its former keepers at the perpetually cash-strapped THQ, now aligning with the bigger guns at 2K Sports, who’ve ruled arenas for years with the dominant NBA 2K series. However, proper character change takes time, and while we’ve seen some slight improvements in WWE 2K14, it’s going to take a little more time in the ring with this grappler before we declare it a legend. (WWE 2K14, Xbox 360)

Let me guess, commenters below. "all these games are stupid. same games year after year just updated graphics & roster." Then you'll go on to say you haven't played one in 10 years and that here comes the pain is the best. Followed by responses that, in fact, no mercy is the best.
