Default Dan- Rewriting the Rules of Platformers, One Coin at a Time

If you ask 100 random people what the first video game they ever played, about 92.333 will say one of the dozens of Mario centric games. Mario established gathering coins, hitting bricks, jumping onto the bad guy’s heads to take them out as gameplay staples for the better part of twenty years. So when I got the chance to play Default Dan at Too Many Games this year and saw all the coins laid out in front of me, my eyes watered (Android, iPhone, PC)
