Overwhelmed with the price of college, he didn't hit up a bank or the federal government for a loan – he decided to try the Internet first. In the boom that is Kickstarter high school grad looks to crowd funding for a college education to become a video game Journalist (Culture, Industry)

The heck is this. He's asking for a free ride through college, for journalism of all things.

Give me free money so that I can complete my senior year of Chem. Eng. please.

Geez, I'm not defending tuition but requesting that someone else pays for your college. Well unless you're the next Einstein I don't believe you're worth it.

Plus it breaks the rules directly.

"Kickstarter CANNOT be used to raise money for causes...like tuition or bills"
