Hands-On With The Gran Turismo 6 Demo | GameInformer

GameInformer: "The game's demo is more about the GT Academy than it is about really whetting the appetite for the holiday title." (Gran Turismo 6, PS3)

Wow. This game looks amazing. Could easily be a next gen racer on xbone. Can't wait to see what poly does on PS4!!!!

What makes Gran Turismo hard for me to play is the lack of speed other titles offer. I know it's a "racing simulator," but I much rather play Need for Speed, Forza, or a handful of other racing titles.

I'm interested in seeing how Drive Club will turn out. I really would like a third-person view tho. You can call me a noob if you want.

With everything you have to grow accustomed to in order to get better, what makes GT any different? You're not a "noob". To each their own, but to say you'd rather play those other "noob" games (:D) rather than GT just because the sense of speed is lacking doesn't seem to me.

It took me some time to get used to finding out the best braking points, but that's because each track is different, as well as each car. Try only one car on one track for two days and see if it's still difficult. Obviously, you won't be able to, now that you don't have GT5, but it looks to me that GT6 has a better sense of speed than previous GT's and the overall feel of what the car's doing has improved and is improving. I'd say give GT6 a shot, but without any of the assists and racing tires IF you're using a normal powered road car.

That's because, it IS GT Academy 2013....

2.29.x in the 370Z but I intend to improve on that.

Presumably the bod that wrote this article didn't manage to log a full lap in the 370Z, which is why there's no mention of what is unlocked after doing that.

Oh well, he may not be, but I can't wait for GT6. Just worried that I'll stop playing GT5 when I have GT6. Must get some more time in on GT5 now.
