Tom Clancy’s The Division Q&A Revealed

Ubisoft brought a brand new title to the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) last month for the second year running, and once again stole headlines for being a top performer at the exhibition. Following-up from that reveal of Tom Clancy’s The Division is an official question and answer session (Q&A) revealing new details on exactly how the videogame will play. (PS4, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Xbox One)

Dedicated servers, new game engine, open world RPG elements, this game is very much so on my radar. I can't wait to get a hold of the new PlayStation 4 controller and try these shooters. I'm much better with the Xbox controller and haven't really used to playstation one, hopefully I get used to it fast!

This will be a great game. I can't wait to play it.

I've never played an MMO before, what happens when you die ...do you lose your items, where do you restart ...I'm getting this no question, but it be interesting if they make you lose all your backpack loot on a death to make you really careful about how you play ...I don't know lol
stevehyphen  +   383d ago
Depends on the game, but pretty much all MMO's are lenient on death. You almost never lose any items. Usually there's some type of checkpoint localized to the zone or area you're in.
MooseWI  +   383d ago
Depends on the MMO. But this game won't be like that I can almost bet my life on it. It has MMO qualities but on death you might lose money or experience. That's what I think at least.
Phene  +   383d ago
yeh I'm hoping it isnt too harsh, cause they're making the game sound real survival based ...its a shooter at its core which isnt mind blowing, but this game surprised me the most at e3. I honestly can't wait ...but then theres Destiny as well ...the future of gaming has never looked so bright lol
Skate-AK  +   383d ago
I doubt you would lose your items. Some MMO's are like that but under a hardcore setting.

The Division is a confirm purchase from me for my PS4. I can't wait to be playing with my buddies and terrorize new york. The gameplay, the mechanics, the environment, the possibilities and the name itself all satisfies my hunger for an MMO on my lead gaming platform.

"We are optimizing the experience for next gen consoles (PS4™ and Xbox One) only, as we are creating a next-gen game."

This statement alone, is one of the main reasons why I bought the PS4 and the reason as to why I am a happy owner. That E3 gameplay on the PS4, already made me confirm my purchase and fully hooked on this game. I'm so hyped whenever, there's news on The Division!

Same boat. This was my favourite of everything at e3. I cannot wait to get my hands on it. It looks like they even managed to get the UI down and make it look more simple than even offline shooters... but it's an mmo.
The wait is killing me.

This game will be much better on Playstation One than it will on Xbox4.

Or maybe the other way around.... hmmmmmmmm......

does anyone know if this game was running on ps4 or xbox?? or was it running on a superpowered pc. Not sure if they ever said. Cause this game is gorgeous.

This game looks ridiculously good. I'm really wondering how everything will work together, how matchmaking will work and how seamless the shift from campaign to pvp battles will be. Ubisoft is making some very interesting and dynamic titles right now. Hopefully I will be playing this game in the fall on my PS4.
mathsman  +   383d ago
It'll be 2014, I'm afraid.
medman  +   383d ago
Sorry mathsman, I meant to say fall of 2014. I know it's not coming this year.

Them dedicated servers on the Xbox One will help this game run quite smoothly. I might be a dirty agent and use the city for the way I see fit if I can lol
PSN_ZeroOnyx  +   383d ago
Them dedicated servers on PS4 will insure it is the best version to own.

Hahaha you wish playboy >_<

I hope that the companion gaming app comes to Vita.
