Payday 2 interview with David Goldfarb: Heists, “collapsing buildings” and AAA shooters
I really don't get the way these guys are acting like they created some kind of heartfelt work of art with the first game. Payday made dudebro military shooters look classy. I appreciate a game based around not completely moral characters but Payday didn't even offer me the slightest bit of justification for its nastiness. It just put a gun in my hand and told me to go shoot a cop in the face. I'm not saying I was outraged or anything but it certainly didn't feel like an artistically daring step forward for the industry. It felt like Left 4 dead replaced it's zombies with GTA's police while leaving behind the interesting characters and story that gives any kind of context to the nastiness in both of those games.
I thought the game extremely fun and enjoying it now on my PC. It has its share of problems but its still fun and requires alot of teamwork for missions to get done
Looking foward to this one
