Killzone: Shadow Fall: OWL Drone Detailed, Pre-Order Bonuses Unveiled

In Killzone: Shadow Fall, being a Shadow Marshal is all about dominating the flow of combat and fighting on your own terms. Your OWL combat drone gives you enormous freedom in choosing how each fight plays out.

The OWL has several modes of operation you can activate via DualShock 4‘s touch pad: a stun mode, which creates an area-of-effect shock blast that stuns enemies and disrupts electronics; an attack mode, in which the OWL attacks anyone within range or targets a specific enemy; a shield mode, which creates a one-way energy shield in front of you; and finally, a zipline mode, which allows you to quickly and safely reach lower areas. That gives me an idea for an actual entertaining use for Kinect (in an Xbone game) or potentially the new Eye: letting you mo-cap your own in-game victory dances.

Nah you just record the mo-cap animations somewhere in the menus and then it would be saved as your default victory taunt.

Can't tweet the devs just yet... gotta go file a patent first. ;)

As long as they only took the good things from kz3 well the very few it had and they go down killzone a roots of kz1/kz2 then my life will be sunk into this game like it was for kz2 :/

After watching the video, I think it would be cooler and more realistic if the OWL would fly out and attach the far end of the zipline and then come back to you, instead of the zipline pretty much just appearing out of thin air.

yeah, I agree, it did look a little silly. Maybe they did that for the flow of the game. Instead of waiting for the OWL it is more instant. You know how impatient people are nowadays. ;)
