"It's about time" for Nintendo, lol.. Try about 15+ years too late.

Better late then never I guess.
bullymangLer  +   279d ago
but Nintendo exclusived the best 1st person shooters to ever release, 007 Perfect Mother F'n Dark son Metroid Prime etc etc . . . and now everyone with 1st person shooters lol .

the question is . "How will Miyamoto change up the 1st person generic phenomenon, again "? (;

They may have been Nintendo exclusives but none of them were actually made by Nintendo or Miyamoto.

And if you think Nintendo lead the fps charge then you should maybe look into Wolfenstein, Doom, Duke Nukem, etc.

Do you believe the stuff you say? If so, may whatever entity you believe in have mercy on your soul
madpuppy  +   279d ago
well, there is a 110% chance of NOT having all new characters in this game, so that isn't getting in the way of "creating" a new game for mister M.

I imagine it would, it's the first new IP he's seen in a while. Glad Nintendo is getting some new stuff, it'll brighten up the Wii-U, and possibly add new SmashBros characters.
KarmaFOX  +   279d ago
Will this "new franchise" involve a pre-existing ip? Like say Mario, zelda or metroid? Or is this gonna be a new, say "mario kart" or "mario tennis?"
madpuppy  +   279d ago
Leisure Suit Mario: The pursuit of Peach's peach.

and on the box art Mario is yelling "that's a' one'a jucy peach!!"

It's funny how Nintendo rely so much on one person. If he's gone, he will take Nintendo and all of his game creations to his grave. After all, he's only human.

No he won't really leave them. He once told in an interview that he will teach as much Nintendo game developers as he can that way they would know what to do when he is gone. So basically he will live on in the hearts and minds Nintendo Developers and other staff from Nintendo.
MNGamer-N  +   279d ago
I hope he can continue to invent new IP's for a few more years. He is getting old, and will be missed when he's gone. It will be a big deal.
Salamander  +   279d ago
haha hes not on his deathbed.
Koyes  +   279d ago
Death can come at anytime, and unlike the other big two, Nintendo only really have this guy to make new IP's
Tzunoy  +   279d ago

nzbleach  +   279d ago
Stop teasing and give us a name already! I'm loving my Wii U :)
ChickeyCantor  +   279d ago
So Nintendo says they are working on a new IP ( which isn't something new, people just tend to ignore these titles over Zelda/Mario/Metroid ) and then everyone is pretty much bashing them for actually doing something you all asked from them.
