Gaming these days seems to be almost exclusively dictated by AAA games. From trends in mechanics to headlines generated, it’s all dominated by the big name brands. Whether it’s the latest setting for Assassin’s Creed or what’s next for Bungie or whatever, when it comes to gaming you can’t see the wood for the AAA trees.
Being a correspondent for a gaming site, naturally this means a lot of my time is spent on the big hitters in the industry. This is only natural as near enough everyone wants to hear about the next big-budget blockbuster game; and why wouldn’t they? After all, they’re big names because they’re (usually) hot property long in quality and short on flaws right? -
