Gran Turismo 6 GT Academy 2013 Nissan Leaf gameplay videos

VVV: "This week the Team VVV YouTube channel has had something of a Gran Turismo frenzy as we got our first look at Gran Turismo 6 with the GT Academy 2013 demo.

Spanning several events covering a wide range of tracks and Nissans, the first two stages take you through the Sunday Cup, an event that should be familiar to GT veterans. As is tradition, the Sunday Cup acts as a gentle introduction to the world of Gran Turismo with races in slow hatchbacks - in this case a Nissan Leaf."

The story is too old to be commented.

This is the main reason why I haven't been a GT fan since GT3 when I was younger. There are so many awesome cars out there (and in this game), but I need to spend time driving a f'n Nissan Leaf? With all the license tests and early stages, you'll probably spend 5 hours driving slow cars in a RACING game. I didn't pick up GT5 for this reason, and I won't be picking up GT6.

I'll be sticking to the Dirt and NFS Shift series, where you start the game out of the box with good cars.

Gran Turismo is a driving simulator, first of all, and they make you drive slower cars first to get the basics. Understanding driving lines, under/oversteer, throttle control are essential before moving up the food chain. The vast majority of real racing drivers started their careers driving <40hp go-karts for hundreds of hours before even moving up to what we would call, a low-powered RWD car.

If it doesn't suit your taste, then yeah maybe you shouldn't be playing GT5/GT6, or even any other simulator for that matter (most will put you through the same thing). But for your reasons given, it's not really a valid criticism of the game, it's just your taste.
